David Abrahams


David has over 20 years of startup and brand building experience having founded and successfully grown his own natural food company, Kalahari Limited, as well as consulted for dozens of other emerging companies in the natural/organic food sector.

At Kalahari, he managed an extensive broker network to grow the newly created Red Tea category into 8,500 stores nationwide within 18 months. This explosive growth required an extensive marketing campaign and required Kalahari to raise millions of dollars in investment capital to fund it.

Post Kalahari, David founded iLevel Brands with the goal of helping other emerging companies successfully navigate the obstacles within the natural trade.  Working in a Sales Management/Startup consulting role with companies like Arctic Zero, Attitude by BioSpectra, Go Raw, GlutenFreeda, Qbel Foods and many more, he has become adept at helping emerging brands to create and manage go-to-market strategies that greatly increase the likelihood that a client’s revenue stream will reach a sustainable and predictable level. He has become extremely proficient at optimizing staffing and financial resources for brands experiencing exponential growth as they penetrate incremental business channels and multiple classes of trade.

Recently, he supplemented his extensive brand building experience by working for a regional brokerage company on the east coast. As the Supermarket Business Manager he represented many successful brands including Coconut Bliss, Rhythm Superfoods, Sambazon, Lotus Rice, and Ito En calling on all the supermarkets in the east. He has developed extensive relationships with buyers working for large and small retailers as well as those working for distributors. His connections with distributor key account managers is extensive.

David holds an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Mike Marrotte

Mike has over 30 years of CPG industry experience leading manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Specializing in the natural/organic business sector, his core competency is helping CEO’s and Founders of emerging brands to accelerate profitable revenue, save money and reduce risk by providing leadership, strategic direction, business planning and execution support. He has developed deep relationships throughout the industry and works closely with these colleagues to deliver exponential value for each client.

For over 5 years, he served as the Vice President of Sales and Customer Service for United Natural Foods, North America’s leading natural, organic and specialty food distributor.  He managed $2.5B in revenue and led a team of 180 sales and customer service associates across 36 states. During his tenure, the business grew over $1B with gross profit increasing 38%.

He started his career at Procter & Gamble Distributing Company and progressed through their sales leadership program. He has held senior sales leadership positions for Ralston Purina Pet Foods and Pinnacle Foods Inc. where he led his teams to record sales achievements. His background also includes senior level positions in the retail supermarket side of the business with BI-LO Inc and Ahold USA in category management, merchandising and marketing in the grocery, dairy, frozen and perishable departments.

His areas of expertise include innovative thinking, strategic planning, product marketing, new business development, sales leadership, supply chain efficiencies, category management and organizational design. Mr. Marrotte holds a B.S. degree in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida.
